1972 Corvette

Description

Description: Rick Pitts has owned his 1972 Stingray for about 3 years now. Rick explains, "When I bought the car, I had just built a special engine for my 1978 Silver Anniversary Corvette. But somehow the engine seemed a little wild for the ’78 with an automatic, so instead I bought this Sunflower Yellow '72. Except for the engine and the L-88 hood, it's all original." Rick’s engine is a 418 cubic-incher that was custom-built from a bow-tie block with a BRC 4340 steel balanced crank, Oliver Rods, JE Custom Pistons, Brodix aluminum heads, Crower roller rockers, custom built Holley carb, Edelbrock intake, MSD 6AL ignition with Blaster coil, custom ground cam, Hooker Super Competition headers, and an LT1 off-road exhaust. The ’72 is also equipped with a 4- speed transmission and deluxe black interior. "She looks and sounds great," Rick exclaims, "and it’s pure excitement to drive!"
