I am not sure, I have never tried to take one apart. The regulator would have to come apart in order to do this, which you would need to be very careful because of the amount of tension that the spring can produce.
I'm working on a 1995 Corvette that has had some work done to the power window regulators. When I went to repair the power windows I found the regulator springs in the bottom of both doors. I'm trying to repair these regulators, does anyone know how to preload these regulator springs?
