Olney,
Maryland’s Richard Clinton has owned his ’69 Corvette T-top coupe since 1973.
It’s a numbers-matching car with 73,000 miles and a “blueprinted LT1 conversion”
to bring the 350 up to the 370-horsepower specs of the 1970 LT1 small-block.
“It’s basically a 350/350 with a solid-lifter camshaft and Holley double-pumper
carb,” Richard points out. The Corvette was completely stripped last year,
then re-gelcoated and painted in 1992 Black Rose. Except for new carpet and
seat covers/foam, the interior is all original. “She is quick and beautiful
and only goes out on sunny, warm days,” says Richard.
