You
know Mallett Cars. They bill themselves as "The C5 Experts," with
396 and 435 models available. With a heritage of building and racing cars
clear back into the 1950s, this family is very experienced in the car arts.
They know how to put together hot street tuner Vettes as well as winning race
cars. We spotted Malletts latest series-specific model at the C5 Bash
at the National Corvette Museum this past april. Screaming yellow, the car
had that unique tuner look - hotter than stock, but engineered as a "total
package."
Mallett is big on the word package. They feel "precision
tuning" is necessary to create a car that really works. Power advances
must be met with suspension upgrades. They also use words like "stability,"
"re-engineering," and "development time."
