  In his spare time, Mike restores Corvettes, some for himself, some for friends. He has a gift for putting things back together and a love of all things Corvette. The aptitude and the Vette fascination goes back to school days.
  "I bought a Corvette and took it apart. My dad said, ‘What the hell are you doing? That’s a good car.’"
  Tom recalled. "It was almost brand new. It took me a couple of years to save enough money to get one. I was still in college, and uh.... I took it apart. Ever since I was a little kid I’ve taken things apart."
  You can understand why Mike Wehrman has restored between 10 and 15 Corvettes. After 35 years, he’s lost count. He has three projects going right now.
