In his early 50s, Rollie has been in the family business since its inception, 43 years ago this january. He was nine when his father, also named Roland, bought the Chevy dealership in Fort Lupton, Colorado.
  
Hmmm, this made him a teenager in the 1960s. I figured Rollie must be incredibly steeped in the Corvette tradition and thus the ‘53 Commemorative was his ride. I was right and wrong.
  
Oh, he’s steeped alright. In fact, Rollie is one of seven dealers in the country who is on the Corvette Brand Team. But incredibly, Purifoy Chevrolet did not sell but one single Corvette, a ‘62 model, before the ‘84 model year.
  
Rollie’s father taught him to drive at the age of six. At 12, he took off by himself in his mother’s ‘53 Chevy sedan and drove 105 miles north
