We mostly
think of tuners as specialty performance shops, like Lingenfelter and Doug
Rippie. They tweak engines. However, Ken King tweaks interiors. You can call
him a tuner - a leather tuner.
Gaze on the interiors in the two Corvettes pictured here, the
C5 convertible and the 2002 Z06, and youll get the idea. When King first
displayed the yellow 2000 convertible on the CorvetteForum.com, he says, "The
reaction was incredible."
How incredible was it, you ask? "Next thing I knew I was
going to GM for licensing. And I got incorporated. Now Ive retired from
the auto industry to devote my time to Vette Essentials."
