  While the super tuners fought it out at Beech Bend, the grounds of the Corvette Museum filled with C5s. The highlight of the event came on Saturday morning when
over 1,000 people crowded the parking lot in high anticipation to see Dave Hill, chief Corvette engineer, pull the cover off the 50th anniversary ‘03 model. One was a coupe and one was a convertible.
  Already, you’ve seen this car here. Likely, you had the same impression as the C5 people gathered.
  "Looks too much like the 40th anniversary model," one man told us.
