So this was the location of Americas premier Corvette
tuner, a rather mundane mish-mash of steel buildings. Before entering the
front door, I slipped around to the back to have a peek at the cars. I rounded
the corner to stare at rows of Corvettes, Z28s, Trans-Ams, even an early 1990-something
Impala SS and a GMC Cyclone pickup. I imagined the owners of these vehicles
dreaming of the day when their cars would come home as Lingenfelters. John
would add a hard-to-see sticker, or maybe nothing at all, but the owners would
have the ultimate musclecar in their town.
