Lingenfelter Performance Engineering didn’t happen overnight. Although he seems like an overnight success, John Lingenfelter has been racing and building competition engines for over 25 years. One day we all woke up and wanted Lingenfelter engines and tuner Corvettes. Today, he is the consummate tuner, predominately for late-model Corvettes but also for Camaros and Firebirds, or just about anything GM, not to mention Vipers.
    LPE is located about 30 miles south of Ft. Wayne, Indiana, in a small town called Decatur. As we cruised into town and made the right-hand turn onto Winchester Road, we started looking for the Lingenfelter sign but never saw it. "When we added onto the shop five years ago, we took it down and never put it back up," LPE’s Tim Dyer explained later.
