    Ron had a very early Z06, built on the third day of production, and the first of its RPO kind sold in Minnesota, home of Doug Rippie Motorsports. Ron already had autocrossing plans for his new C5 - notice "Corvette Racing" on the rear pillars — so the offer from Rippie fit right in.
    But don’t get the idea this Z06 is strictly race. The mileage has passed 19,000 with Ron and wife Susan driving the car all over the place, like down to the National Corvette Museum for their Labor Day show.
