LEFT: Now that the arms have had all the oil and grease removed, they are bead blasted, which can be a very time consuming chore. It also makes the individual pieces look brand new by removing all the rust and restoring them to their original luster. After bead blasting, everything is put back into the parts washing machine so that all residue from the bead blaster is removed.

BELOW LEFT: Now it is time to check the parts. As you can see, there is a visual check of the spindle threads and the bearing surfaces are measured to make sure that the spindles are within tolerances before they are used for the rebuild.
