99
at the Ready
Joe
and Vicki Moncado from Olathe, KS, are on stand-by with their 1999 Torch Red
coupe. Selected as the alternate for the National Corvette Museum Motorama,
in which one car from each model year will journey from Flint, MI, the birthplace
of the Corvette, to the GM Headquarters in Detroit, to St. Louis where the
Corvette was produced for many years, and then on to Bowling Green, the Moncado
C5 will make the historic journey if the primary car cant make it. The
Moncados are also looking forward to the 50th Anniversary National Corvette
Caravan, where caravans from across the country will meet in Bowling Green
to celebrate the 50th anniversary. As Captains for the Kansas and Missouri
Caravan, Joe and Vicki are already working on the event. "We are very
involved with the Corvette hobby and serve as Ambassadors to the National
Corvette Museum representing the Kansas City Corvette Association. We are
Lifetime Members of the National Corvette Museum," say the busy couple.
"If the primary 99 for the Motorama cant make it, we are
prepared to step in and fulfill our obligation as the alternate."
