Bucking the Trend

"My wife bought this Corvette for me as a gift to celebrate my one-year anniversary in AA," says the owner of this blue C3 who identified himself only as Bucks. "There are more things in life than drinking." Bucks says the Corvette has been completely rebuilt from the radiator to the exhaust tips, with modifications like a Holley 750 cfm carburetor, aluminum heads, racing cam, headers, stainless steel exhaust with performance mufflers, performance shift kit, and a posi-traction rearend with 4.73 gears. Horsepower has been measured at 435. The 73,000-mile Corvette was scheduled for a body-off repaint this spring. Bucks adds, "My teenage son knows he will get this Vette when I can no longer get into it to drive it myself."
