Part of the Mallett tune includes "Vehicle archival at National Corvette Museum." This feature documents the history and the tuner build of the car. Whereas thousands of 1950s and 1960s Corvettes have a clouded history, these later models will be very well documented, right down to every factory option and accessory, as well as the serialized modifications. In fact, you can go to "Owner Registry" at www.mallettcars.com and, at the click of the mouse, view a complete listing of all the cars Mallett has tuned, each one in order of their production number.
To the outside of the rear window of Janice’s coupe, Mallett applied a decal with the number "016." There’s also a metal tag with the build number on the inside of the door jamb. If this metal tag was ever removed, the cars could be sourced by VIN, as well.
