and you want to take advantage of that. LT1 and LT4 cars equipped with the automatic transmission make their power in a higher RPM band than the L-98. Therefore, you can run an even lower 3.73 ratio to allow the engine to get into its power band faster, which results in quicker acceleration. L-98s and LT1/4s with the 6-speed trans can run a 3.75 or a 4.11 with even greater results. The 6- speed has a .50 overdrive, compared to the auto’s .75, so they won’t lose highway drivability. One of the best reasons for choosing a high-performance differential is that the rest of the car remains stock, plus you get the performance enhancements you’re looking for.
Cat-Back Exhaust
The stock exhaust on most cars, not just Corvettes, is very restrictive and quiet, so a performance cat-back exhaust system is our next recommended modification. There are many aftermarket systems to choose from, priced from a couple hundred dollars to over a thousand. Again, you have to be honest with what you are looking for. Most performance exhaust systems are going to be on the loud side, so if that

A performance differential with 2.54 to 4.11 gears will make a huge seat-of-the-pants improvement by getting a C4 into its power band quicker.

Corsa’s Power Pulse performance cat-back exhaust system is much less restrictive than the factory exhaust. It also uses Reflective Sound Cancellation technology to lessen in-cabin resonance.
