S7R hot-shoe Terry Borcheller jetted off to Canada to compete in a Grand Am race.
   
When the green flag waved, the battle between Corvette and Saleen raged. The Corvettes managed to stay ahead early but fell behind when both took advantage of an early yellow flag to pit. When the S7R pitted later, the #3 Corvette again moved into the lead. All the while, the two GTS-R Vipers were running a slow but steady pace, ready to take advantage of any front runner problems.
   
With about an hour left, a problem did arise for the Saleen, as evidenced by the oil smoke following it around the track. Fifteen minutes later, the car was black
