As a result, the Henrys 82 garnered the Triple Crown. But their most treasured award came at the National Corvette Convention in Bowling Green, where the car received the Dave McLellan Mark of Excellence award.
BELOW LEFT: Albert Kwader purchased his 250-horse 283 57 convertible as a basket case, as it had been disassembled in the late 1960s. But the components were original and the numbers matched, so Albert embarked on a restoration in 1998 that resulted in the Triple Crown honors. Dave Buerher did most of the work, with some body assistance by Ron Rummel.
