LEFT: Rod Saboury is noted for his unique creations, which include a Pro-Street ’62 split-window coupe and a 7-second ’57 Pro-Street drag car. At Corvettes at Carlisle, Rod debuted his newest Corvette, a Pro-Street ’63 coupe with a Z06 drivetrain. Certainly not as radical as his previous Corvettes, the ’63 "Z06" coupe was built as a regular street driver — although Rod predicts that it can run in the 10s on the quarter-mile.

BELOW LEFT: With the Corvette’s 50th anniversary celebration looming, it was only fitting to have a 1953 Corvette in the Chip’s Choice display. Owned by Wayne Hartye, number 187 (out of the 300 built in the Corvette’s first year of production) is a Triple Crown award winner, marking it certainly as one of the best ’53 restorations in the country.
