LEFT: Marcus Swan had a message for us, "God Bless America," as he displayed his C4.  

  Wrapped in a huge American flag on a pole attached to the rear of his screaming yellow C4, Marcus added, "What we’re trying to say by showing up here is, let’s get together and stand up for America."
    Swan certainly wasn’t alone. In the background we could hear a rendition of "God Bless America" and there were flags and more flags everywhere as we gazed across the acres of Corvettes. David and Connie Baxter from Roscoe, Illinois, were typical. They turned their black 1964 convertible into a patriotic-mobile by waving flags from custom made poles attached to the factory header latches.
