LEFT: Open your door and you will see some small Torx screws that retain part of the rocker molding. Again, you will only need to remove the first two screws.

BELOW LEFT: Back at the side cover, there are two bolts that retain the back of the cover. Use a 10mm wrench to remove the top bolt in the rear of the panel. You may need to move the seal that covers the head of the bolt, but you do not need to remove the seal.

so we recommend removing the side panels completely to eliminate the chance of damage. Remember, it always better to be safe than sorry!

For this project, you’ll need an assortment of Torx sockets, a 7mm wrench, a 10mm wrench, a 13mm socket and ratchet, and of course a battery-wrench or 5/16-inch wrench. With that in mind, gather up your tools and prepare to battle the battery!
