LEFT: This is what the plug looks like once it is out. Ours had some burrs on it that made it difficult to remove.

BELOW LEFT: Once the plug is removed, unscrew the factory knob.

BELOW RIGHT: Spray some WD-40 on a rag and wipe it on the shifter threads of the shifter to provide lubrication for the new Gripper shift knob.
