LEFT: Note the aluminum plug towards the back of the knob. This is used to keep the original knob centered, and you will need to remove it.
BELOW LEFT: Use a pair of vise grips with a needle nose point or set of needle nose pliers to remove the aluminum plug. You may want to spray a small amount of WD-40 or other lubricant around the plug so it will come out easier.
