Right away, I met Tom Miller from Winter Park, Florida. He was cleaning his
‘67 small-block as he waited on the judges to tackle his convertible. He explained,
“The sport is comprised primarily of people like myself who are hobbyists, who
love to drive their cars.”
“A sport,” I thought, and people who love to “drive.” These
NCRS people like to drive. And, yes, restoration is a sport. You try to get
it
right to the best of your ability, then you go get judged on how you
