Depending on how crowded your engine compartment is, you may need to use an
open-end or a box wrench to remove the two bolts that secure the fuel pump
to the engine block. I found using a gear wrench was the way to go for the
front bolt.
BELOW
LEFT: The gear wrench
wouldn't work on the rear bolt, however, because my headers were in the way.
A ratchet and socket with an extension did the trick here.
ABOVE:
With both bolts
removed, the fuel pump was removed. A utility knife blade was used to remove
the old pump gasket from the block.
