Our first question was how fast was this Lingenfelter 427 in the quarter-mile, especially since our location was the Beech Bend Raceway Park drag strip in Bowling Green, Kentucky. Plus, Drews had a special weapon - John Lingenfelter himself, who was at Beech Bend to give a seminar on drag racing. If anybody could get a good time, John could with one of his own tuner cars.
