After talking with
participants at the Chevy/Vette Fest, we believe hybrids have emerged to bring
the C1 Corvettes, and soon the C2s, up to speed, literally, by giving them the
benefits of modern chassis technology. For years, hot rodders have upgraded
horsepower. A much more difficult modification has been upgrading the chassis.
Builders are jumping these hurdles today.
For
years, we’ve seen Grand Sport replicas, which have featured Duntov’s special

We caught Mid-America Industries’ Jeff Leach rolling in his Grand Sport frame,
all set up for C4 suspension goodies, so we posed it beside this Grand Sport
replica. According to Jeff, this chassis is updated to accept a 1984-95 C4 suspension.
