50th Anniversary
    
The 50th Anniversary has been my focus for the last four years. I think the whole Corvette world is waiting to see what happens. The coordination is probably my primary concern, as we talk in february of 2001. We’ve got to get a cohesive force together. I know we’re celebrating at Carlisle in 2002, because our assumption is that Chevrolet will come out with a 50th Anniversary car. So we’ll have our 50th anniversary celebration on the last weekend of august 2002. From then on, I don’t know how things are going to fall in place. There’s so much talk of big shows all over the country. Bloomington is a huge show, Carlisle is huge, and the Museum show is certainly one of the major events, and should be because it’s there with the factory.
     There’s a void, in my opinion, on the west coast, and there always has been. We tried west coast one time, not Corvette specific, and it showed me that there are differences between west coast enthusiasts and what they have to do with their time versus east coast and Midwest enthusiasts, who are happy to travel to a
