LEFT: Use a screwdriver to snug-up the three bolts on each of the acrylic tab plates. These tab plates pull the center of the Astro Top down to the T-bar. If you're out cruising and you want to remove the Astro Top but don't have a screwdriver with you, a dime will do nicely for loosening or tightening the bolts. Nice forward thinking on the part of Thompson to make the slots in the bolt heads wide enough to accommodate a coin.
BELOW LEFT: The bolts with the knurled knobs are inserted into the nylon grommets on the driver and passenger sides that usually receive the front T-top locator pins. Care must be taken not to cross-thread these bolts when tightening. Snug them down as much as possible by hand to create a nice, tight seal for the front weatherstrip. A smear of petroleum jelly on the Astro Top's weatherstripping can be applied if desired for a tighter seal, although I didn't find it necessary.
