LEFT: Once we removed the fuel line, we used a clean shop rag to plug the line so it would not leak.

BELOW LEFT: With the carburetor removed, wipe the manifold clean in preparation of the new carburetor base plate. If you’re lucky, the old gasket will come off clean. If not, you’ll need to scrape off any remnants. Be sure to plug the manifold openings with a shop rag to prevent debris from falling into the engine.
