Dennis also added Hedman headers and factory side pipes, and a year later he pulled the old aluminum intake in favor of an Edelbrock Performer, new Carter AFB, and a K&N air filter.
   
By 1994, the opening of the National Corvette Museum was on the minds of every Corvette owner, and Dennis was no exception. Plans were made to attend the big event, and Dennis managed to secure a spot in the caravan leaving from Richmond, Virginia. He made it, but didn’t get far before discovering a pinhole leak in the radiator. Rather than turn back, Dennis loaded up with water and kept going. Twenty-five hundred miles and six gallons of water later, he was back home and ready to make repairs.
   
Over the next four years, the ’67 saw plenty of fun. Wife Judy learned to operate the 4-speed and discovered the excitement of sitting behind the wheel, and the couple’s daughter, Meredith, also realized that "Boom-Boom" was the car to be in.
