Prashant Patel, promoter and Viper owner from Houston, explained, "We’d hold the event near Houston every other time, except the strip there requires roll bars."
   
The King of the Hill cutoff ET is 11.99, which excludes most stock Vipers and Corvettes. The fastest Viper in the stock class this year was a ‘96 GTS, blue-with-white-stripes, which Aaron McCullough drove to an 11.80/119. By comparison, the fastest stock Corvette was a red C5 with a 13.1. Unfortunately, there were no stock Z06s in attendance.
