LEFT: First thing, clean all the pieces that are to be painted. This is very important for good paint adhesion. Use a mild dishwashing detergent such as Palmolive and be sure to completely rinse, then let everything dry over night. This is where the family can get involved, as you can see my daughter was eager to help out.

BELOW LEFT: When painting interior components, it is best to hang the pieces to provide access to all areas for spraying the prep and paint.
