Eighteen C5s, one ZR-1 and one rented Citroën Xsage (think mid-1990s Toyota Camry with bizarre hydraulically-assisted suspension) hit the Belgian roadways toward Paris, turning heads at every moment. In Europe, the C5 is an exotic — wide, muscular and loud, both in sound and in color. This made our long Corvette caravan stand way out among the typical drearily-colored compact cars. Except for us, we blended right in.
   
Antwerp is the second-largest European seaport, so Belgium has heavy truck traffic. The roadways reflect that and are a bit on the rough side. We Americans with our
