Trying to get the hang of French road signs took a while. Sometimes we just had to pick a direction and pray that it was correct.

   
Nineteen C5s and one ZR-1 (as an homage to the C4’s debut in France) crossed the great pond to cheer the confidant C5-R race teams to victory. It was the C5 Registry’s return to Le Mans via a leisurely countryside driving tour beginning in the port city of Antwerp, Belgium. After several weeks of separation anxiety, all the Registry members were reunited with their Corvettes at the Antwerp shipping company — except for us. Our C5, the only one flown over (long story), ended up in Frankfurt, and no one bothered to transfer it to Antwerp. So it was rerouted to France.
