In Paris, if it's paved, it's considered a parking space. And most streets are extremely narrow.
With
the speedometer needle pegged at 200 kph, my father and I rocketed down the
famous Mulsanne straight in his 1998 Torch Red convertible C5. With the top
down. His C5 doesnt have the heads-up display option, so Im not
sure exactly how fast we were traveling. We were both too wide-eyed and white-knuckled
to flip the gauge over to miles per hour.
But
there we were accelerating around the legendary Le Mans circuit with fellow
members of the C5 Registry in a sea of Corvettes. A truly exhilerating, one-of-a-kind
experience! But thats not to diminish the week-long road trip to Le
Mans, which had its fair share of wide-eyed moments.
