stainless steel turbo manifolds are “homemade,” John says, as are the aluminum diffusers and induction plenum. John also adapted an AirSensors 800 HP timed electronic port fuel injection system to a ported and polished Edelbrock Torker II intake manifold. Unlike the Lingenfelter C5 twin-turbos, which tuck stealthily beneath the engine, John’s turbochargers straddle the small-block in full view, sucking air from both forward corners of the engine compartment through 4-inch mass air sensors and K&N filters. A single wastegate is set a 14 pounds of boost.
