after the famous ’63 Corvette Grand Sport race cars that competed against the
Shelby Cobras in SCCA road racing in the early 1960s, the ’96 Grand Sports honored
their namesakes by carrying the same color scheme – Admiral Blue with Artic
White center striping and dual red hash marks (similar to the ones used to identify
each of the five original ’63 Grand Sports) on the driver’s side front fender.
