was disbanded after the 2000 season and the cars as well as all spare parts
were sold to Chamberlain Motorsports. For reasons unknown, Chamberlain did not
participate in the january testing at Daytona but nonetheless entered two of
their Vipers for the race.
In
addition to the Chamberlain Vipers, which should prove competitive, competition
for the GTS class honors will come from three other camps, all of which are
capable of winning.
First,
there are the production-derived Porsches. Although consistently slower than
the Corvettes over the past two years, they cannot be overlooked because they
