motivated to build a replica, but she wanted an attraction. Miss Mako is a catchy name that really works and gives the car a unique, factory-type look. The Miss Mako lettering on the fenders is classy, cut from aluminum and hand-polished. Then, right below is a shark emblem that sculptor Dan Ricco cast from solid silver.
    
The project started 18 months ago when Joan bought a ‘64 convertible. She called on her friend Dave Secaur at Final Finish in nearby Branford, Connecticut, to do the design, body work, and paint. Dave, who has been working on Corvettes for 30 years, is a half an hour down I-95 from Reeves Callaway and was the painter for the illustrious Callaway Speedsters.
