than the Rippie mods, Hall has little information on the car’s early days. He
bought the black-on-black coupe two years ago after Elite Motorsports in Austin
sent the already Rippie-modified ZR1 to Lingenfelter for their 385 stroker magic.
Hall explained, “They put in different camshafts, crankshaft, pistons, iron
liners, and rods, and recalibrated the whole package through the computer.”
The result is a 385 cubic-inch LT5 with 600 horsepower at a high-
