Passion
for L48
Jeff
W. from Livonia, Michigan, says his 1977 Corvette is his passion. We can see
why. The red-on-red beauty is equipped with the L48 and automatic drivetrain,
deluxe interior with leather seats and cloth inserts (which Jeff says he’s
never seen on another local ’77), aluminum wheels, tilt/tele and leather-wrapped
steering wheel, convenience group option, air conditioning, power windows,
rear defog, sports mirrors with remote, and a luggage rack. That’s from the
factory. Jeff has added Vortec heads, Edelbrock Performance intake and carb,
K&N filter, Comp Cams’ camshaft, ceramic-coated headers, dual 2 ½-inch
exhaust with Hooker Aero Chamber mufflers, Sony stereo, and a Thompson Astro
Top roof section. Although Jeff says his ’77 L48 is his first Corvette and
his “passion,” he’s already thinking about another one. “I would like to one
day own a Corvette manufactured on my birthday, november 22, 1965. I think
that would be the ultimate in personal collectability. If anyone’s got a 1966
Corvette that matches Jeff’s birth date, he can be reached at serge144@aol.com.
