There’s no question that Corvette owners are also dedicated drivers. While hard-core show car enthusiasts from other tents often limit their driving time to the bare minimum it takes to travel between the trailer and the showfield, Corvette enthusiasts tend to be more daring. On the other hand, we’ve also noted that the more mature members of our ranks who have restored classic Corvettes don’t always put their prize-winners on the road nearly as often as those of the younger generations.

Of course, there are always exceptions. One of those is Al Zizzi Sr. of Cheektowaga, New York. At 76 years of age, Al has learned that the secret to a fun and prosperous life is found with his hands wrapped around the steering wheel and his right foot working the gas pedal of his 1976 Classic White Stingray.

Al purchased his Corvette from his nephew, Ron Smyntek, in 1989.
