Another big price on a Straight Axle was $58,000 ($60,320 with buyer's fee) for a '57 fuelie with the 283/283 tune. White with a silver cove, this Corvette was a beautiful restoration with numbers matching. We were surprised the auction printed a production figure of 43 because this car did not appear to have the air box option.
    
Nabors Motors in Houston did the frame-off restoration of the $114,000 '67 L71. A 4-speed car with black stinger and red vinyl trim, this Corvette had transistor ignition, 4.11 Posi, AM/FM, tinted glass, and power brakes and windows. The car's paperwork included the tank sticker, owner's manual, copy of the
   Jeff Leach of Mid-America built this Grand Sport replica in the late 1980s on a '63 chassis. Bob Gold once owned this car, as did Dale Smith of OEM Glass and Joe Roebuck of Route 66 Classics. Power comes from a 366 stroker. It sold at no reserve for $33,000.
