The really
big bucks chased a Rally Red '67 Tri-Power 435 convertible to a winning bid
of $114,000. The 4 percent commission pushed the total price to $118,560, so
six figure prices appear to be back for '67 model L71s. Meanwhile, a '91 twin-turbo
Callaway bid to $137,000, short of reserve. The screaming yellow B2K Corvette,
one of ten Speedsters built by the famous tuner, attracted thousands of people
Friday and Saturday while parked outside the auction tent.
