
Eckler's
21st Corvette Reunion, held october 21-22, was more a statement
of quality rather than quantity. Forced to cancel last year’s event due
to a pending hurricane, attendance was down a tad from prior years. Still,
the little town of Titusville, Florida, was overrun with Corvettes. You
couldn’t pass a gas station, restaurant, or motel without seeing Corvettes
of all years in the parking lot.
Eckler's
pulls out all the stops for its reunions and this one, despite the slightly
off attendance, was exceptional. It is free to everyone – the only thing
they charge for is if you choose to enter the show. The weather set the
mood by offering sunshine galore with occasional cloud cover and a wonderfully
cool coastal breeze.
