unlike media blasting which doesn’t remove surface material. Unfortunately,
many vintage Corvette bodies have undergone sandblasting over the years.

the gel coat putty mixing process by pouring PolyGard Iso Exterior Gel Coat
into a plastic container.
“goes
off” extremely hard, yet it’s easy to sand. Unlike Bondo, which tends to crack
if laid on too thick, the gel coat putty can be used to fill in large fiberglass
cracks and damage. In fact, the gel coat putty can even be used to reshape Corvette
body lines when needed. Best of all, with the gel coat putty, the body can be
sanded straighter and smoother for concours paint, plus it’s less likely to
crack or fall off like Bondo because its polyester
