Goeckel
has created this wolf in sheep’s clothing to compete in Car & Driver’s
One Lap of America, an annual 8-day affair that involves driving from race
track to race track across the country to compete for points based on lap
times at the various venues. Last march, Goeckel’s C5, driven by Ron Kline
and Rob Rene, finished seventh overall behind two Vipers, a Mercedes SL600,
a Toyota Supra Turbo, and a pair of other Corvettes, a Mallett and a ZR1.
