Gap
each new plug to factory recommendations as stated in your shop manual. Ours
should beg gapped at .035. Shown here are different styles of feeler gauges
that can be used to gap your plugs. After the plugs are gapped, re-install them
into the head.
Start
by disconnecting the battery. Remove the spark plug wires from each plug and
then remove the spark plugs. Check each plug as you remove it. Look for burned
electrodes or carbon and oil build up. These could be signs of additional problems.
