"I decided to blueprint and rebuild the original engine for more power," says Lou. "The fuelie unit was rebuilt by my brother Joe and I, and set up by Doug Matson, a local fuelie specialist."
   In addition to the blueprinting, Lou bolstered the internals with updated parts, including GM TRW rods and forged pistons, valves and springs, with a Duntov Fuelie cam to actuate solid stock flat-tappet lifters. In all the 327 was treated to a basically stock rebuild with components guaranteed to deliver reliable street performance.
   "After the engine work and cleanup, the car was used by myself and my significant other, Karen, as transportation and weekend blasting around town.
